Nickie Aidos Gorce |
Nicola “Nickie” Gorce is a retired, Florida certified educator, administrator, consultant, and mental health professional, who has resided in St. Augustine for 40 years. Nickie tells everyone, "Nothing compares to Zumba Fitness when it comes to having fun! It’s one of the most effective forms of cardiovascular fitness for burning calories and toning the whole body when done regularly. You don't have to be an experienced dancer or even know how to dance. It’s not about being perfect or exact. It’s about enjoying awesome music, moving your body, and feeling fabulous when you finish a class. All the research tells us dance is the most effective form of exercise as we age because it utilizes all the components of the brain, right and left sides, and therefore, has much greater impact in helping us sustain our cognitive memories and skills. In addition, research tells us listening to music can have a profoundly positive impact on our attitude, mood, and how we feel overall. The combination of dance and music makes Zumba Fitness the perfect feel good experience for all ages and genders. You can do this! Get ready to ‘Feel the Music’. It’s the most fun you’ll ever have working out. I promise!" She accepts cash and Venmo for her classes.
